David Roddy shot 7-of-13 from the field and 3-of-3 from the foul line in Wednesday’s 100-99 win over Thunder, scoring 21 points with six rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block, and four 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

Roddy had an excellent night, scoring 21 points to help lead the Suns to their first summer league win. His final three points came from the foul line, as he was fouled on a 3-point attempt with just over one-second remaining. Roddy is looking to prove he deserves consistent rotation minutes once the season begins, as he could not get that kind of run after being acquired from the Grizzlies in February. However, Roddy is not a player who has to be selected in fantasy drafts, especially with the Suns re-signing Royce O’Neale.
Ryan Dunn

PHX Shooting Guard

Ryan Dunn tallied six points (3-of-7 FGs), four rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocked shots in 26 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Warriors.

Dunn made his Suns summer debut on Saturday, and things went as many expected. An absolute problem defensively, the former Virginia wing remains a work in progress on the other end of the floor. Dunn missed all three of his 3-point attempts and was responsible for four turnovers, but the defensive production was also present. The good news for Phoenix is that they have the offensive firepower to cover for Dunn’s deficiencies, while he’s a good enough defender to have an immediate impact.
Oso Ighodaro

Oso Ighodaro finished Saturday’s 90-73 loss to the Warriors with six points (3-of-8 FGs), five rebounds, one steal, and two blocked shots in 27 minutes.

Ighodaro made his summer debut on Saturday, and while the defensive production was there, he did not have a significant offensive impact. That was a bit surprising, as the ability to facilitate was one of Ighodaro’s strengths during his time at Marquette. However, summer league action can be tricky, as draft picks play alongside guys unlikely to be their teammates in October. Fantasy managers should not be too concerned about Ighodaro in the aftermath of his performance against the Warriors.
Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant (strained calf) did not practice in Abu Dhabi on Saturday and is unlikely to play in Monday’s friendly against Australia.

Durant has not practiced since joining Team USA for camp ahead of the Paris Olympics, and he also sat out Wednesday’s exhibition game against Canada. While the United States does not begin pool play in the Olympics until July 28 against Serbia, it would be optimal to have Durant on the court well before then. They’ve already had to make one roster change for injury reasons, with Derrick White replacing Kawhi Leonard.
Josh Okogie

According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, the Suns and Josh Okogie have agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal.

While Okogie has agreed to a two-year contract to remain with the Suns, the second season is not guaranteed. Appearing in 60 games, he finished the 2023-24 campaign with averages of 4.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.5 3-pointers in 16.0 minutes. Okogie missed nearly three weeks of action in March due to injury and was ultimately passed in the rotation by Royce O’Neale, who was acquired from the Nets at the February deadline. Look for Okogie to provide additional depth on the wing, but he’s unlikely to offer reputable fantasy value.

According to The Athletic, Kevin Durant missed the first two days of Team USA practice with a strained calf.

The men’s basketball team is holding training camp in Las Vegas ahead of the Paris Olympics, and Steve Kerr’s team has been down a man. According to The Athletic, Durant did not participate in either of the first two days of practice as he is nursing a strained calf. Limited to light individual work, KD’s availability for Wednesday’s exhibition against Canada has yet to be determined. He’ll have time to get healthy, as the United States does not begin group play until July 28 against Serbia.
Damion Lee

PHX Shooting Guard #10

Damion Lee has agreed to return to Phoenix on a one-year contract, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

After missing all of last season, Lee will be back with the Suns despite declining his player option a few days ago. During the 2022-23 season, he averaged 8.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 triples in 20.4 minutes per game. He should play a role off the bench, but he isn’t a player that will make much of an impact in fantasy basketball.
Monte Morris

PHX Point Guard #23

The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that Monte Morris plans to sign with the Suns.

Phoenix lacks true PG depth, and Morris’ addition helps to address that issue. Morris is a reliable, long-range threat who shot 39.2% from beyond the arc over the last six seasons.
Collin Gillespie

PHX Point Guard #21

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Suns and Collin Gillespie have agreed to a two-way contract.

After missing the entire 2022-23 season with a broken leg, Gillespie appeared in 24 games for the Nuggets in 2023-24. He posted averages of 3.6 points and 1.1 assists in 9.4 minutes, not impacting fantasy basketball. Managers should not expect much more from Gillespie next season.
Mason Plumlee

Mason Plumlee has agreed to a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Plumlee logged just under 15 minutes per tilt across 46 appearances for Los Angeles last season. He’ll compete with Bol Bol and Thad Young for backup minutes behind Jusuf Nurkic next season. Plumlee is off the fantasy radar in fantasy leagues of nearly all sizes.
