The United States hosted the 2024 Copa America, which once again features six guest nations as part of a new “strategic collaboration agreement” announced by CONMEBOL and CONCACAF.

All 10 CONMEBOL members featured in the tournament, with six teams from the CONCACAF region. Copa America last came to the U.S. in the summer of 2016 for Copa America Centenario, the 100-year celebration of the South American championship.
Argentina were crowned back-to-back champions and also overtook Uruguay as the most successful nation in Copa America history, winning their 15th title all-time. Brazil were bounced in the quarterfinals, while Colombia finished as runners up and Uruguay third.
Canada, under Jesse Marsch, finished fourth as they did CONCACAF proud. But the USMNT, Jamaica, Costa Rica and Mexico did not as they were all knocked out in the group stage. Panama at least reached the knockout rounds before they were thumped by Colombia in the quarterfinals.
